Recent Successes

Another happy client walked out of court with Mr. Schillberg recently following sentencing on a criminal charge of assault by auto. Although the charges could have resulted in imprisonment of up to 18 months, and the prosecution recommended a sentence of six months in jail, the client was sentenced to one year of probation following the argument by Mr. Schillberg at sentencing.

Mr. Schillberg recently successfully arbitrated a case in binding arbitration in which the arbitrators awarded $60,000 in total damages to a truck driver injured in a car accident in April, 1998. The client sustained various back injuries. After apportioning 75 percent liability to the defendants and 25 percent to the plaintiff, the client was awarded a total of $48,000 in damages.

Mr. Schillberg recently negotiated a settlement of a personal injury case in which the client sustained various head lacerations, as well as head neck and back injuries as result of a falling piece of lumber at a local nursery. The matter was successfully concluded with a settlement of $30,000 for the client's injuries.

The office has successfully obtained an award of disability benefits for a client in excess of $100,000 for prior disability benefits, as well as ensuring continuing benefits for the client into the future.
